CNPEA is looking for an Education Outreach Program Coordinator.

Length of contract: 9 weeks
Amount of hours per week: 30 hours
Rate per hour: $18
Start date: As soon as possible

About the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (CNPEA)
CNPEA is a virtual network, built by professionals for professionals and concerned individuals. The network is led by a pan Canadian Board of directors who each bring their passion and varied expertise.

Our Mission:
We connect people and organizations, foster the exchange of reliable information, and advance program and policy development on issues related to preventing the abuse of older adults.

We aim to raise awareness of elder abuse and to increase our collective capacity to fight it through knowledge-sharing. We provide a national perspective on issues related to ageism and abuse of older adults. Our leadership is informed by and responsive to our membership.

The network has a membership of individuals and organizations from across Canada who come from all walks of life and who care about older adults and the prevention of harm in later life.

Current Projects:

Reporting and Schedule
The candidate will work from home and provide their own equipment, such as a phone, computer, and internet access. The successful candidate must be available to attend all virtual meetings. CNPEA being pan Canadian, with a head office in BC, most meetings will occur in the mornings and early afternoon Pacific time. Meetings will exclusively be online and/or over the telephone. The successful candidate will work closely with and report to the CNPEA Executive Director. They will receive additional oversight and guidance from a committee composed of Board members. 

The Role
This role will provide an opportunity for applying and developing skillsets through a holistic understanding of current elder abuse and prevention infrastructures and sectoral work in Canada. The role of Education Outreach Program Coordinator presents a unique opportunity for a young professional to come into (albeit virtual) contact with some of Canada's leading experts in violence prevention, elder law, health care, education and more.
