Pamela Baxter RN, BA, BScN, MScN, PhD is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at McMaster University in Ontario. Her research focuses on health service delivery for older adults with dementia and their caregivers with an emphasis on long-term care and the community. Her recent work focuses on resident-to-resident aggression in long-term care (LTC) from the LTC leaders’ perspective, a perspective that is often ignored. Dr. Baxter is currently leading a mixed methods study intended to promote post-pandemic recovery of South Asian women caregivers of co-residing relatives living with dementia. Her interest in multicultural caregiving for those living with dementia directly relates to elder prevention and abuse.
