Vision 2030 for Seniors Services Symposium

This year, the Grey Matters Conference will not take place in its traditional form. Instead, the Alberta Association on Gerontology and Seniors and Housing have embarked on a new and exciting collaboration to present the Vision 2030 for Seniors Services Symposium.

Building on Grey Matters, the symposium format will bring senior-serving sectors together to inform the future of services for Alberta’s aging population.

As a pre-symposium event, the Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council presents Connecting Edmonton Seniors on November 12. The event aims to increase awareness of system barriers that affect seniors in Edmonton through storytelling and conversation.

On November 13, Alberta Seniors and Housing presents Care Hacks: Future Technology for Seniors Reverse Trade Fair as a pre-symposium event. The reverse trade fair will bring together private and public sector organizations to foster partnerships and develop innovative solutions for challenges experienced by caregivers.

At the symposium, on November 13 and 14, you will hear from local, national and international speakers about various themes, such as wellness and independence, enhancing community capacity, addressing diversity, integrating health and social services and meeting future anticipated health care needs. There will also be networking and learning opportunities, including sharing of leading practices to take back to community.
