As we age, it can become increasingly difficult to have conversations about various topics that affect our health, safety and well-being.
Elder Abuse Ontario has recently launched a newly adapted 'Tea & Talk Toolkit', to assist older adults in Starting the Conversation and helping improve their quality of life.
Learning Objectives
- Overview & Orientation to use the Toolkit.
- Gain an understanding of how to effectively engage older adults in interactive discussions about various issues that help build healthy relationships, promote dignity and restore respect.
- Learn techniques to 'start the conversation' on various topics: dating, increasing self-esteem, ageism, communications and much more.
- Hear how your organization can engage older adults in peer-led, facilitated workshops.
