Presenter: 

Lina Hyatt, Investigator, Office of the Public Guardian and Trustees, Ministry of The Attorney General 

Lina Hyatt is an investigator with the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee, in Toronto, and has been in this position since January 2017. She investigates properties for existing clients, as well as for possible estate matters, however also investigates allegations of financial abuse and personal care concerns. Lina has worked for the OPGT since 2008.  She started out in the Screening Application Unit, where she reviewed applications and made recommendations for family members applying to replace the PGT as guardian of property.  Lina has also worked in Client Services since 2010; as a Client Representative for 1 year and a Senior Client Representative for 6 years, where she was responsible for managing the financial, real estate, legal and business affairs of a caseload of approximately 90 clients who have been deemed mentally incapable of managing on their own. Lina strongly believes in the work that the PGT does and is happy to be a part of a larger group of advocates for the vulnerable individuals in society.
