The first governmental action plan to counter elder abuse 2010-2015 (extended until 2017) followed a public consultation process about the living conditions of older adults. The implementation of the measures from this first plan have allowed Quebec to reach the following goals:- Improve awareness of elder abuse among older adults, their loved ones, stakeholders and the public at large
- Improve inter sectorial concerted responses
- Develop knowledge acquisition and knowledge-sharing about elder abuse
